There has long been discussion about the possible health consequences of sleeping with a smartphone nearby, even though some individuals may use it for music, meditation, or other calming apps

1. Magnetic field radiation
Cell phone electromagnetic radiation has been connected to health issues. In certain studies, electromagnetic radiation exposure has been connected to a higher risk of cancer, infertility, and other health issues. Even though there hasn't been much research on the consequences of sleeping near a phone, it's generally advised that you restrict your exposure to EMFs.
2. Sleep Disturbance: The blue light emitted by smartphone screens has been shown to interfere with melatonin, the hormone that controls sleep. This may make it more challenging to fall asleep and stay asleep during the night, which may in turn cause several sleep-related issues.
3. Stress
You can be raising your stress and anxiety levels if you have a tendency of checking your phone immediately before bed or if notifications keep you awake at night.
4. The effect of gravity on the eyes
Too much time spent staring at a smartphone screen can cause eyestrain, dry eyes, headaches, and weariness.
It is advised that you avoid using screens in the hour before bed if you want to sleep better. You could discover that as a result you sleep better and are less prone to have health issues linked to excessive phone use.
Try moving your phone to a different room from where it is now being kept next to your bed. Place your phone at least three feet away from your intended sleeping area if you must use it as an alarm clock in bed.
